Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Engineer in the United States to lead projects for Federal and Public sector clients, applying expertise in sediment remediation design and regulatory compliance.

You will serve as task manager, guide teams, and collaborate with clients and staff to deliver technically sound, regulatory-compliant solutions while advancing project objectives and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise evaluating sediment remediation technologies and design sediment remediation projects for riverine, coastal, riparian/floodplain, or port settings.
• Understand sediment/contaminant transport, site assessment, sampling/monitoring, cap modeling, dredge approaches, and remedial action design.
• Support mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Serve as CDM Smith’s task manager on sediment sites and communicate technical strategies to clients.
