Job summary

CDM Smith in Anchorage, AK is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Engineer to lead projects for Federal and Public sector clients. You will evaluate remediation options, develop designs for riverine, coastal, and port sites, and guide a team of engineers and scientists.

The role requires PE licensure, a Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineering degree, at least 7 years of experience, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
Professional engineer (PE) license.
7 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Familiarity with CERCLA, GLBA (sic) and other regulatory program steps/processes at contaminated sediment sites.

Responsibilities

Providing expertise in evaluating remediation technologies and preparing sediment remediation designs.
Leading a team of engineers and/or scientists on sediment projects for federal/public clients.
Interacting with clients, public, and outside consultants to communicate technical evaluations.
Serving as CDM Smith’s task manager and communicating technical strategy to clients.
Ensuring technical work conforms to regulations and policy.
