Job summary

Mears Group Inc. is seeking a Security Service Technician to install, program, commission, troubleshoot, and repair electronic security systems on customer sites. You will read blueprints, integrate IP networks, and ensure systems meet performance expectations while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include on-site service ownership, system demonstrations, and mentoring junior technicians, with strong safety and quality emphasis across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of electronic security experience.
• Hold certifications in Lenel, Milestone and Axis.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint.
• Strong troubleshooting and programming with access control and video systems.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking and device integration.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass 7-year background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, commission, troubleshoot, and service access control, video surveillance, intrusion, and low-voltage systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Provide customer training, demonstrations, and ongoing technical support.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Operations on project execution and service delivery.
• Perform system programming, database management, and configuration; verify performance.
• Mentor junior technicians and support team members on best practices.
