Job summary

PASS Security is seeking an Electronic Security Systems Technician to install, service, and troubleshoot electronic security systems for residential and commercial clients. You will wire, program, test, and commission systems while training customers on operation and basic troubleshooting.

Ideal candidates bring strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of low voltage wiring and electrical concepts.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Electronic Security Systems Technician.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication for documentation and interaction.
• Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Technologically driven with a desire to learn new technology.
• Strong work ethic and career orientation.
• Knowledge of Electrical/Electronics, Low Voltage, and Construction.
• Ability to read and understand technical diagrams, manuals, and project docs.

Responsibilities

• Install and service electronic security systems (intrusion, access control, cameras) and resolve installation issues.
• Wire new construction and existing structures for security systems.
• Program security systems and devices.
• Perform system testing and commissioning.
• Provide customer training on use and basic troubleshooting of features.
• Maintain and repair systems, update, upgrade, and service as needed.
• Analyze and diagnose system failures to determine causes and corrections.
• Inspect work quality for conformity with specs and requirements.
• Document work performed and corrective actions thoroughly and descriptively.
