Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Senior Manager in Cyber Security to drive high-impact investigations and threat mitigation. You will perform deep-dive data analyses, write SQL queries across platforms, and translate technical insights for executive briefings.

The role requires hands-on technical ability with Splunk, dashboarding, and collaborating with the Executive Relations Team on sensitive requests. Hybrid work model with on-site presence three days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience writing and executing SQL queries in production environments.
• Solid understanding of wireless and wireline systems and security.

Responsibilities

• Conduct root-cause investigations into security events and fraud.
• Provide security support for high-visibility account requests.
• Leverage Splunk and enterprise tools to analyze log data and detect anomalies.
• Write, optimize and execute SQL queries across SQL Server, Teradata, and GCP.
• Review daily security events to identify threats and outliers.
• Manage multiple investigative work streams with timely deliverables.
