Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Senior Manager in Cyber Security to drive high-impact data investigations and operational threat mitigation. You will monitor data, perform deep-dive investigations into wireline and wireless accounts, and translate technical insights into executive briefings and security solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of work experience.
• Six+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience writing and executing SQL queries in production environments.
• Solid understanding of wireless and wireline systems, operational workflows, and account security.
• Experience in fraud detection, security, risk management, or threat operations.
• Ability to analyze unstructured operational data, recognize patterns, and isolate system outliers.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage competing priorities, and build trust across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Deep-Dive Investigation & Root Cause Analysis for security events and fraud schemes.
• Account support and communication with Executive Relations Team for high-visibility escalations.
• Technical threat hunting and log analysis using Splunk and enterprise tools.
• Database querying across SQL Server, Teradata, or Google Cloud Platform to extract data.
• Review daily security events to identify suspicious behavior and trends.
• Project and work-stream management across multiple investigations.
• Adapt to rapid changes in systems and operations, exploring AI in daily tasks.
