Job summary

EXPOSITION AND STATE FAIR BOARD seeks a Security Manager to serve as senior security authority over asset protection and public safety for the venue. You will develop security strategies, emergency plans, access control, incident response, and coordinate with public safety agencies.

The role supervises security staff and contracted vendors, designs tactical response plans, and directs large security deployments to mitigate threats across events while ensuring guests, employees, and assets are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years security leadership in arena, fairground, stadium or similar venue.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License.
• Must pass Arizona DPS background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee physical facility security and emergency management; create vulnerability protection plans and access criteria.
• Lead safety operations during threats or disasters; coordinate with emergency responders.
• Manage internal and external security guard teams; deploy ingress/egress and crowd control protocols.
• Conduct incident investigations and ensure compliance with risk management requirements.
• Oversee budget, procure security equipment, and report on security performance.
