Job summary

Legends Global, located at the Wilmington Convention Center, seeks a Public Safety and Security Manager to oversee all safety operations for events and daily activities. You will lead security personnel, enforce life-safety compliance, and coordinate with local agencies to ensure guest and staff safety.

The role requires 5+ years in supervisory safety/security, strong incident response skills, and the ability to manage multiple shifts, staff, and emergency drills in a fast-paced venue

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years safety/security supervisory experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement public safety and security plans for events.
• Schedule, supervise, and direct security personnel.
• Monitor patrols, incidents, and safety concerns; investigate.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, EMS, and other agencies.
• Open/secure facility and manage security systems; maintain records.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate Public Safety staff.
