Job summary

The Pennsylvania Convention Center is seeking a Security Manager to direct contracted security staff and manage safety operations under the Director of Public Safety. You will ensure secure premises, supervise the CCTV and incident reporting systems, and coordinate with local authorities as needed.

Responsibilities include directing move-in/out safety, conducting investigations, maintaining access control and emergency response readiness, and ensuring compliance with PCC policies while upholding

Qualifications

• High School degree required.
• 3 years in public safety.
• 3 years leadership in security/law enforcement.
• 2 years of management experience with coaching staff.
• Knowledge of security principles and procedures.
• Ability to move quickly and be agile.
• Excellent oral, communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
• Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
• Ability to relate to all people at all levels of the organization.
• Decisive, ethical, and proactive.
• Experience with Momentous Event Management software.
• CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Secure PCC building and protect people and property during events.
• Oversee CCTV, incident reporting, and fire systems operations.
• Supervise Command Station Operators and coordinate move-in/out safety.
• Investigate incidents and determine actions; coordinate with police as needed.
• Maintain safety compliance with PCC policies and procedures.
• Provide emergency response leadership when needed.
• Maintain records and communications; supervise parking permit program.
