Early Warning is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to lead vulnerability and configuration management for our security toolset and custom software. You will operate independently on projects, evaluate new tools, and ensure policy compliance while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

The role includes 24/7 on-call coverage, mentoring junior staff, and driving automation to improve security operations. A hybrid work model in Phoenix/Chicago supports collaboration and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of IT experience and 3+ years in IT security.
• Experience with enterprise vulnerability scanning platforms and frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise endpoint security tools (anti-virus, DLP).
• Expert understanding of Linux and Windows administration.
• Proficiency in Python for automation.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade and patch application software and OS; manage certificates and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Integrate security tools with corporate infrastructure and workflows.
• Support audits and compliance initiatives; track and resolve gaps.
