Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to lead vulnerability and configuration management for our security toolset. You’ll work independently on projects, collaborate with teams, and help ensure our software remains secure and well-documented. The role requires strong independent work ability and a commitment to policy compliance.

Hybrid work model is available, with on-call rotation to support 24x7 response. The position is based in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2‑year degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 5+ years IT experience and 3+ years IT security experience.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning platforms and vulnerability management.
• Experience with endpoint security tools (AV or DLP).
• Expert understanding of Linux and Windows administration.
• Proficient in networking concepts and firewall design.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade and patch application software and OS; track certificates and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Integrate security tools with other corporate infrastructure.
• Support audits and ensure compliance efforts are backed by tools.
• Identify gaps and research solutions to meet them.
• Monitor tool health and perform maintenance per processes.
