Placements24 is seeking a Lead Information Security Engineer to guide security architecture, tooling and incident response across the enterprise. You will design, implement, and maintain robust security solutions while mentoring a team of engineers.

This hybrid role emphasizes cloud security (AWS/Azure), scripting, and security standards to elevate our security posture, with collaboration across IT operations and development teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in information security engineering roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading security projects and technical teams.
• Expertise in network security, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and security architecture principles.
• Strong understanding of scripting, automation, and security tools (SIEM, EDR, etc.).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-level security technologies and solutions.
• Mentor and guide a team of information security engineers, providing technical expertise and project oversight.
• Develop and enforce security standards, best practices, and procedures for infrastructure and applications.
• Oversee the incident response process, including leading investigations and ensuring effective remediation.
• Collaborate with IT operations, development, and business units to embed security into all aspects of technology.
• Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend adoption to enhance the organization’s security posture.
