Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a senior security engineer to lead the design and implementation of complex security systems across multi-cloud and on-prem environments. You will drive threat modeling, risk assessments, and cryptographic frameworks while mentoring peers.

You will work with product, research, and infra teams to embed security into the SDLC, expand ownership beyond the security team, and help ensure safe, trustworthy AI systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering with deep security expertise.
• Strong programming skills in Python or system languages (Go, Rust, C/C++).
• Deep understanding of identity systems, cryptographic primitives, and secrets management.
• Experience with Kubernetes security primitives: RBAC, namespaces, network policies, service accounts.

Responsibilities

• Design and build complex security systems end to end.
• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments; implement controls.
• Mentor engineers and drive security initiatives across teams.
• Enable product and engineering teams to own security through pattern guidance.
