Anthropic in San Francisco is seeking a security engineer to help protect our AI systems. You will design and implement identity and secrets management, cloud security controls, and secure development frameworks across multi-cloud and on-prem environments.

Candidates should have 5+ years of production security experience, strong Python or Go/Rust, and a track record of end-to-end ownership. We value collaboration, clear communication, and a passion for AI safety.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience implementing and maintaining security-relevant systems in production.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Go/Rust.
• Experience contributing to cloud security controls.
• Track record of owning problems end to end, from issue to fix.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain identity and secrets management systems across multi-cloud environments.
• Contribute to cluster security controls including RBAC and workload identity.
• Implement and maintain cloud security controls across multi-cloud and on-prem environments.
• Design and implement secure development frameworks and libraries for secure coding.
• Harden CI/CD pipelines against supply chain attacks with isolated builds and attestations.
• Identify and remediate security gaps through code review and threat modeling.
• Contribute to continuous cloud security posture management via IaC scanning and remediation.
