Job summary

Arctic Wolf, a leader in End Cyber Risk, seeks a Principal Information Security Engineer to shape security strategy and build scalable capabilities across cloud, identity, and enterprise environments.

The role is hands-on, engineering-focused and requires influencing multiple teams, mentoring senior engineers, and delivering security patterns that scale with AI and modern software delivery practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in security engineering, cloud security, security architecture, software engineering, identity and access management, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale security initiatives and complex technical programs.
• Proven experience designing, building, and operating security solutions within cloud-native and SaaS environments.
• Strong software development experience using Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience influencing technical direction across multiple teams and organizational boundaries.
• CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, GIAC, CISM, or equivalent industry certifications.
• Deep experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term technical direction for Security Engineering and standardize security patterns across programs.
• Lead architecture reviews, security design assessments, and governance across enterprise, corporate, and product environments.
• Develop automation, tooling, and platforms to improve security and reduce operational burden.
• Mentor senior engineers and translate complex concepts for executives and technical teams.
• Collaborate with leadership to align security capabilities with business objectives and emerging tech.
