Job summary

Snowflake is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Cloud Security team. You will build and automate security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP, and design AI-augmented pipelines that ingest posture data from hundreds of millions of assets.

You will own end-to-end security workstreams and raise the bar in engineering practices through mentorship and robust design. The role emphasizes secure architecture, scalable APIs, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to continuously improve

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent.
• Experience designing secure, large-scale systems.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, Go, or Python.
• Familiarity with distributed architectures and scalable APIs.

Responsibilities

• Build solutions that protect and govern security posture across clouds.
• Automate security controls in cloud environments (IAM, monitoring, config management).
• Develop real-time security monitoring and alerting using Snowflake tech.
• Define and maintain security baselines for public clouds.
• Design AI-augmented pipelines to ingest posture data and surface issues.
• Own security workstreams end-to-end with mentorship and guidance.
• Apply testing, observability, and documentation to security work.
