Job summary

AWS Security Assurance Services LLC, based in the United States, is seeking a Senior Security & Compliance Engineering Manager to lead a team of security and compliance engineers. You will own the team’s roadmap, hire and grow engineers, and drive long-term strategy for security and automation across regulated customers.

You will oversee multi-location teams, define metrics, and report to senior leadership while shaping cross‑team goals and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managing and developing teams.
• 5+ years of progressive work within a software security team or related operating environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Knowledge of security of web services, cryptography, network security protocols and OS security
• Experience applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of security and compliance engineers across locations, including managers.
• Hire, onboard, and develop engineers; delegate, coach, and promote growth.
• Provide both tactical and strategic management where problems are not fully defined.
• Set KPIs and SLAs; measure progress, customer experience, and operations.
• Own reporting to senior leadership and align with cross‑team goals.
• Negotiate priorities across teams and partner orgs; influence roadmaps and resourcing.
• Define technical direction for security proofs of concept and products.
• Identify sales opportunities and input into SAS offering strategy.
• Travel to customer sites as needed.
