Job summary

Amazon's AWS Compliance & Security Assurance Engineering team builds customer trust by scaling AWS's security and compliance capabilities for regulators, auditors, and customers worldwide.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own internal services that monitor security/compliance attributes, streamline audits, and extend continuous monitoring of key security functions across services. You will mentor SDEs and influence technical strategy across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality code with thorough test coverage and mentor other developers.
• Engineer systems for scale similar to Amazon scale.
• Design highly available, secure, distributed microservices and improve them with peers and leaders.
• Work on Agile projects with high visibility and continuous improvements to processes.
• Take full ownership of systems based on real-time customer data and SLAs.
