Job summary

AWS Security Assurance Services LLC is seeking a Senior Security & Compliance Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers delivering scalable security solutions for regulated customers. Qualifications

• 5+ years in managing and developing teams.
• 5+ years in a software security team or related environment.
• Bachelors in CS, Info Security, or related field.
• Knowledge of web services security, cryptography, and OS security.
• Experience leading security-focused initiatives and communicating with executives.
• Experience with threat modeling or risk identification.

Responsibilities

• Manage a security and compliance engineering team across locations.
• Hire, onboard, develop, and promote engineers with scalable leadership.
• Provide tactical and strategic management where problems are not fully defined.
• Set team structure, KPIs, and SLAs to deliver complex problems independently.
• Define cross-team goals and contribute to strategic planning.
• Regularly report to senior leadership with clear narratives.
• Negotiate priorities and influence roadmaps across partner teams.
• Set technical direction for security/compliance POCs and products.
• Identify sales opportunities and shape service roadmaps.
• Travel to customer sites as needed.
