Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced engineering leader to shape strategy and deliver a roadmap for security-focused software solutions. You will guide a high-performing team, architect critical systems, and partner with science and security groups to advance Amazon's security posture across cloud, devices, retail, and services.

You'll drive hiring, mentoring, and performance management while maintaining high standards of quality and delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience.
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 5+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Knowledge of full software/hardware/networks development life cycle and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a talented team of engineers, providing mentorship and career growth opportunities.
• Define and execute strategic roadmaps by working backwards from customer problems and owning team charter.
• Drive architecture, design, implementation, and operational support of critical security tools and services.
• Partner with engineering, science, and security teams to build technology solutions and establish high standards.
• Review and prioritize operational and customer issues, scaling delivery while maintaining software quality.
