Job summary

Pavion is seeking a Sr Security Service Technician to join its integration business unit. You will provide onsite support for fire, security, and AV systems, diagnose issues and perform preventive maintenance.

This role emphasizes customer service, managing service tickets, and coordinating with management to improve workflows. Ideal candidates have IP/Networking experience, AV control programming knowledge, and a valid driver's license; frequent travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar technical role.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Familiarity with IP/Networking and OS evolutions.
• AV control programming experience with Creston, Extron or AMX or ability to work with programmers.
• Solid understanding of SOWs, blueprints, schematics and device installation best practices.
• Pro Audio experience, DSP and Live Sound applications.
• IP Video Based Certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve in a direct customer facing role providing onsite support for various technical issues.
• Provide outstanding customer service to improve customer relationship.
• Receive and perform field service calls, installations and preventive maintenance on commercial equipment.
• Diagnose system issues to determine state and required action.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using standard and specialized test equipment.
• Repair or replace worn, damaged or defective parts.
• Request replacement parts and ensure system is restored to operational status.
• Provide technical support and training to end users.
• Manage workload using the service management ticketing system.
• Assist in installation and configuration of hardware/software for new installations or service maintenance.
• Maintain service van inventory and keep tools in good working order.
• Collaborate with management to identify process improvements and enhance workflows.
• Report activities related to work orders and timecards for invoicing.
• Occasional travel outside normal work area for service projects.
