Job summary

Trinzic, Houston-based, seeks a Lead Accountant focused on SEC reporting and technical accounting to support external financial reporting and governance during a pivotal growth period.

You will prepare SEC filings, coordinate data for disclosures, and apply U.S. GAAP to complex transactions, partnering with Corporate Accounting and Internal Controls to ensure accurate public reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or SEC reporting experience.
• Experience preparing or supporting SEC filings within a public company environment.
• Experience applying U.S. GAAP to complex accounting and reporting matters.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support the review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required disclosures.
• Coordinate collection, validation, and analysis of financial and non-financial information for external reporting.
• Draft and maintain financial statement footnotes, disclosures, and supporting documentation.
• Research and apply U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements to complex transactions and disclosure matters.
• Partner with Corporate Accounting and other stakeholders to ensure completeness and accuracy of reported financial information.
• Support the preparation and review of earnings-related materials and other external reporting communications.
• Assist with XBRL reporting processes and related compliance requirements.
• Support disclosure controls and SOX compliance activities related to financial reporting.
• Coordinate with auditors to support quarterly and annual reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and controls.
