Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Sr. Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting to lead preparation, review, and governance of the company’s SEC filings and related analyses. You will oversee quarterly and annual reports (10-Q/10-K), current reports (8-K), earnings materials, and SOX controls, ensuring U.S.

GAAP and SEC compliance. This senior role requires strong technical writing, leadership, and collaboration with external auditors and investor relations, plus drive for process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA preferred.
• 10–12 years of experience in public accounting and/or public company reporting.
• Strong knowledge of SEC rules, U.S. GAAP, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Experience in biotech/pharma or regulated industries is advantageous.
• Proficiency with ERP and disclosure management systems.
• Excellent technical writing, analytical, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quarterly and annual reports (Forms 10-Q/10-K), current reports (8-K), earnings materials, and SOX controls.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Lead technical accounting assessments for complex transactions.
• Maintain and enhance disclosure frameworks.
• Support investor relations and audit processes.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
