Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Manager, SEC Reporting to oversee the company’s SEC filings, earnings process, technical accounting matters and external reporting activities. You will coordinate quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures, supporting non-periodic SEC filings while partnering with Corporate Accounting, business unit finance teams, external auditors and advisors.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
CPA designation preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in SEC reporting, public accounting, corporate accounting or related financial reporting role.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures for SEC filings.
Prepare, review and present key quarterly and annual financial reporting information to senior leadership.
Support the preparation and review of non-periodic SEC filings and other external reporting deliverables.
Research and document technical accounting conclusions for new and existing accounting matters.
Coordinate with outside advisors on pension, postretirement and other specialized reporting matters.
Provide coaching, guidance and day-to-day support to team members involved in SEC reporting activities.
Collaborate with business divisions on accounting matters, reporting questions and issue resolution.
