Job summary

The Alliance Group in Miami is seeking an experienced SEC Reporting Manager to lead the company’s external reporting, technical accounting, and close processes. This role offers visibility across the accounting and finance team and requires hands-on SEC experience.

The successful candidate will manage filings (10-K/10-Q/8-K), ensure GAAP compliance, and collaborate with auditors and cross-functional partners to enhance disclosures and controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
  • Hands-on SEC reporting experience required
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Public accounting experience, particularly with a Big 4 or national firm, highly preferred
  • Experience with Forms 10-K and 10-Q and related financial statement disclosures
  • Strong technical accounting, analytical, and research skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced public-company environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Form 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, and related disclosures
  • Manage the SEC reporting calendar and coordinate deliverables across internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and disclosure requirements
  • Research and document complex technical accounting matters and prepare accounting memoranda
  • Monitor new accounting pronouncements and SEC guidance and evaluate their impact on the organization
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with external auditors throughout quarterly reviews and the annual audit
  • Assist with earnings releases, investor reporting, and other external reporting requirements
  • Support SOX compliance and maintain appropriate internal controls over financial reporting
  • Partner with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Investor Relations, Tax, and other departments
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate SEC reporting and close processes
