Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Software Engineer In Test (SDET) at senior level to lead automation strategy and framework architecture. You will mentor junior engineers, drive innovation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align automation with organizational goals.

The role requires strong experience in C#, Java, Python, Typescript, and modern automation tools like Selenium and Playwright, with CI/CD integration and GenAI awareness. Onsite work in multiple hubs is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with five years of experience in test automation or software development
• High school diploma or GED with nine years of experience in test automation and/or software development
• Experience with IDEs (Visual Studio, Eclipse, IntelliJ)
• Strong experience with C#, Java, Python, and Typescript
• Experience with NUnit, TestNG, RestSharp, RestAssured
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Tosca, and Postman

Responsibilities

• Designs and maintains enterprise-level automation frameworks integrated with modern tools
• Defines best practices for automation, code reviews, and quality gates
• Leads automation initiatives for web, desktop, and mobile platforms
• Provides technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and teams
• Drives adoption of advanced automation solutions for complex scenarios
• Evaluates and implements new technologies including GenAI
• Remains current on industry trends to improve efficiency and reduce cost
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align strategies with organizational goals
• Integrates automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and supports distributed execution environments
• Serves as technical authority for automated testing across the software development cycle
• Champions best practices in test automation frameworks, tools, and methodologies
• Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and cybersecurity practices
