Job summary

Astar Foundation, in partnership with SBI Group, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Quality Engineering (SDET) to architect and own the testing platform across backend, frontend, blockchain, and trading infrastructure. The role focuses on building automation, AI-powered quality systems, and CI/CD integrations to enable rapid yet reliable product delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in SDET, Quality Engineering, or software testing with a focus
• Experience testing exchange or trading systems (order types, matching, flows)
• You build test systems, not just test cases; Automation, CI/CD, Docker
• API testing across REST, JSON-RPC, WebSocket
• AI-driven test design, code, and failure analysis is expected
• JavaScript or TypeScript preferred; strong candidates in other languages welcome
• Self-directed and able to work independently at start

Responsibilities

• Design and build the Quality Engineering Platform and testing architecture
• Develop AI-assisted QA workflows across the software lifecycle
• Create automated test suites for APIs, backend, frontend, and blockchain interactions
• Validate trading flows and ensure consistency between backend, state, and UI
• Develop containerized testing environments and CI/CD integrations
• Mentor engineers on testing best practices and platform tooling
