Job summary

Aplazo is seeking a Senior SDET to elevate engineering quality across the org. You will write production-grade code and maintain automated tests independently; improve existing suites and coverage; execute end-to-end with minimal guidance; and give clear quality feedback to engineers.

You will mentor engineers, define testing approaches, build automation tools, and leverage AI to accelerate testing while shifting quality left through better design and testability.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years as a software engineer or SDET.
• Strong programming skills; production code + test automation.
• Deep expertise in unit, integration, contract and end-to-end testing.
• CI/CD with Jenkins pipelines and GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Mentor engineers on quality and testing practices.
• Own test strategy across unit, integration, contract and e2e testing.
• Write production-grade automation and testing tools.
• Drive quality metrics and prioritise improvements.
• Leverage AI to generate tests and identify coverage gaps.
• Shift quality left with design and testability coaching.
