Job summary

Getpeer is seeking a Senior/Staff Product Quality Engineer (SDET / Test Automation) in the Bay Area. You will own real user workflows across AI-enabled platforms, building automated coverage for UI, APIs, and asynchronous processes while leveraging AI agents to detect regressions and validate complex product journeys.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building automated tests for complex web applications across APIs, services, and user interfaces.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and comfort reading, debugging, and writing production-quality code.
• Experience debugging distributed or asynchronous systems where failures may cross multiple services and jobs.
• Experience as an SDET or quality engineer in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated software.

Responsibilities

• Map and own the critical end-to-end user journeys with clear release-readiness criteria.
• Build automated coverage across the UI, APIs, asynchronous workflows, data processing, and generated outputs.
• Develop AI-assisted testing approaches, including agents that navigate workflows and flag unexpected behavior.
• Create realistic test datasets, scenarios, and environments reflecting how medical writers and life-sciences teams use the platform.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Medical Writing, and QA to translate product expectations into executable quality checks.
• Investigate escaped defects and recurring failure patterns; build systemic safeguards toward reproducible, traceable, and automated release evidence.
