Job summary

Zip is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to own end-to-end verification and validation for cloud-native systems. You’ll design test strategies, build scalable automation, and work with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality is built in from design through production.

In this remote-first US-based role, you will lead edge-case testing, drive root cause analysis, and apply AI-assisted tools to accelerate testing and debugging across API, integration, and UI layers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in quality engineering, QA automation, or SDET roles.
• Strong ability to think critically and identify edge cases and subtle bugs.
• Deep understanding of testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E, contract, regression).

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive test strategies with a focus on edge cases and real-world scenarios.
• Build and maintain robust automation frameworks across backend/API and frontend/UI testing.
• Drive root cause analysis and contribute to prevention strategies for defects and incidents.
• Mentor team members and elevate quality standards across the team.
