Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer for the Developer Productivity, AI, Test and Simulation team in Sunnyvale, CA. You will design backend services on AWS, build scalable infra for satellites, and apply Generative AI to productivity tooling.

You will mentor others, lead design and architecture discussions, and contribute across requirements, implementation, testing, and operations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 8+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• 8+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of AWS stack - IAM, Lambdas, cloud watch, api gateways, Fine grained access control
• Understanding of automation, monitoring and operational excellence
• AWS Permissions and IAM roles, Authorization and authentication
