Job summary

VDOT is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to implement and support the agency's IT network infrastructure. The role entails hands-on design, deployment, documentation, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise networks across LAN/WAN environments.

You will document topology, IP schemes, firewall rules, and access controls while collaborating with cloud and DevSecOps teams to optimize hybrid connectivity and SDWAN configurations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in design, install and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN networks.
• Experience documenting network architecture and configurations.
• Hands-on networking experience across enterprise infrastructure and security.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support enterprise network infrastructure.
• Document network topology diagrams, IP schemes, firewall rules, and access controls.
• Collaborate with cloud and DevSecOps teams on SDWAN and hybrid connectivity.
• Oversee installation, documentation, and upgrades of network infrastructure.
• Maintain knowledge of networking protocols and standards.
