Job summary

Exponent is seeking a Senior Scientist for the Chemical Regulation & Food Safety Practice in our Washington, DC office. You will provide high-level project management, TSCA regulatory and technical support to consultants in the Center for Chemical Regulation and Food Safety.

You will collaborate with clients and regulators, build regulatory insights, and contribute to product stewardship initiatives while advancing a diverse, cross-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree required; advanced degrees preferred.
• Experience with TSCA and other environmental regulations.
• Three years of consulting or government regulatory experience.
• Detail-oriented, able to work independently and manage time.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Experience with AI tools like Microsoft Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track client projects, deliverables, and budgets.
• Collaborate with internal project teams to discuss client projects, tasks, deliverables, and budgets.
• Interact with clients as well as EPA and State regulators.
• Build upon your understanding of chemical regulatory policies, including TSCA, and apply regulatory insights to complex client challenges.
• Preparing and submitting regulatory approval documents.
• Providing regulatory and technical review and quality control support for TSCA and product stewardship projects.
