Job summary

MSD in West Point, PA, is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead NAMs and investigative toxicology efforts. The role focuses on developing advanced in vitro models, including 3D tissue models, organoids, and microphysiological systems to advance nonclinical safety assessment.

You will design mechanistic studies, translate complex data for cross-functional teams, and contribute to strategic NAMs initiatives while publishing findings and collaborating with external partners.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Cell Biology or related field; strong publication record.
• Experience developing cell-based assays and complex in vitro models.
• Experience with organoids, tissue-engineered systems, or organ-on-chip preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced in vitro assays and human-relevant model systems.
• Design mechanistic studies to evaluate drug effects and toxicity mechanisms.
• Synthesize data and communicate insights to multidisciplinary teams and leadership.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to advance NAMs and MPS capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners across discovery and translational science.
• Publish findings and represent the organization at scientific meetings.
• Contribute to scientific strategy for NAMs and next-gen safety assessment.
