Job summary

MSD in Rahway, NJ seeks a Senior Scientist, Drug Safety and Metabolism to join Global Preclinical Development. You will lead and coordinate in vivo safety studies, review data, and prepare submission-ready reports for regulatory authorities.

Strong GLP knowledge, data integrity, and cross-functional collaboration are essential. The role requires 4+ years in veterinary sciences or related fields, with CRO oversight, data review, and regulatory reporting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science with at least four (4) years of experience in veterinary sciences, toxicology/pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and/or monitor in vivo preclinical safety studies to support registration of veterinary/companion animal pharmaceuticals.
• Prepare and/or obtain solid scientific reports from CROs.
• Ensure Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) compliance and data integrity.
• Communicate with study leads and monitor study timelines; coordinate data packages.
• Assist in preparation of regulatory submission packages and data archives.
