Job summary

EMD Serono, Inc. is seeking a Senior Scientist, LNP Discovery Biology to support the LNP delivery platform within the Neuroscience & Immunology group.

You will perform in vitro and ex vivo experiments, develop assays, and work at the interface of LNP delivery and immunology, collaborating with multiple groups to advance a differentiated platform. The role involves bench work, data interpretation, and presenting findings to project teams, with opportunities to train junior staff and contribute to

Qualifications

• Experience with primary human immune cell culture, multicolor flow cytometry, and cell-based assays.
• Experience with in vivo studies using humanized mouse models is preferred.
• Strong data interpretation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute in vitro and ex vivo studies for targeted LNP delivery platforms.
• Develop and troubleshoot assays; document protocols for CROs and colleagues.
• Design and run multicolor flow cytometry panels and analyze core readouts.
• Support in vivo studies in humanized mouse models; assist study design discussions.
• Interpret and present data in group and project meetings with clear figures.
• Maintain rigorous electronic lab notebook and sample tracking to quality standards.
• Collaborate with formulation and lipid chemistry teams on candidate characterization.
• Train junior scientists on assays and techniques.
