Job summary

EMD Serono, Inc. is seeking a Scientist for LNP Discovery Biology to support the LNP biology platform through laboratory-based work and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will run in vitro and ex vivo assays and support in vivo studies to drive candidate selection, including human T cell and PBMC work, with a focus on CAR readouts and transfection efficiency. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology or Life Sciences.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• 1+ years of mammalian cell culture and flow cytometry experience.
• OR Master's with 3+ years experience and mammalian cell culture/flow cytometry, OR PhD with 6+ months experience.

Responsibilities

• Run in vitro and ex vivo assays for the LNP delivery platform, including primary human T cell and PBMC cultures, transfection efficiency, CAR expression, and functional readouts.
• Execute multicolor flow cytometry panels, acquire data, and perform analysis of CAR expression, reporter signal, target cell depletion, and T cell activation/engraftment.
• Process samples from in vivo studies and contribute to assembling datasets with pharmacology.
• Help optimize and troubleshoot assays and develop new ones under supervision.
• Analyze your data, prepare figures, and present results in group meetings.
• Maintain rigorous records in electronic lab notebook and ensure protocol adherence.
• Contribute to SOPs for the assays you run.
