Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Scientist III for an onsite Connecticut role. You will initiate routine in vitro studies, design non-routine assays, and independently interpret results to guide follow-up experiments.

The position requires strong molecular biology skills, stem cell culture experience desirable, and a track record of scientific reporting. Flexible scheduling complements a weekend workload. Onsite work in Ridgefield, CT.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 3+ years of related scientific discipline or Bachelor's with 7+ years in related field
• Supplemental technical courses in area of expertise
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment with independence
• Ability to draft technical reports
• Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills
• Concise and accurate reporting of technical data and interpretation thereof
• Proven problem-solving ability
• Able to act for the supervisor in his/her absence
• Appropriate level of understanding of applicable regulations

Responsibilities

• Initiates and completes routine in vitro studies independently; interprets results and proposes follow-up
• Designs non-routine cell-based in vitro and biochemical assays based on literature analyses
• Keeps abreast of literature and extracts relevant information
• Maintains lab equipment and safety compliance
• Proposes new experiments/technologies and trains junior staff
• Communicates and defends work; writes protocols and technical reports
• Maintains electronic lab notebooks with high integrity
• Weekend commitment of 2–4 hours to support operations
• Scheduling is flexible to fit employee needs
