Job summary

System One is seeking a Cell Biology & Functional Genomics Scientist III for a contract role onsite in Ridgefield, CT. You will design, execute and analyze cell-based experiments to support target validation and discovery research.

Candidates should bring hands-on mammalian cell culture, NGS workflows, and experience with lab automation. You will collaborate across biology, automation, genomics and bioinformatics while maintaining thorough documentation and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s with 7+ years.
• Strong hands-on mammalian cell culture and cell biology experience.
• NGS workflow experience including library preparation and QC.
• Experience with automated workflows; troubleshooting and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze cell-based experiments for target validation and discovery.
• Operate and monitor lab automation workflows; troubleshoot issues.
• Perform tissue, cell, and nuclei dissociation; execute RNA-seq workflows.
• Prepare libraries; ensure QC and sequencing setup.
• Maintain accurate records, samples, reagents, and SOP compliance.
• Collaborate across biology, automation, genomics, and bioinformatics.
