Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions seeks a Scientist III specializing in stem cell biology for an onsite, 24-month contract in Ridgefield, CT. You will lead in vitro drug-discovery studies, design experiments, and interpret data with minimal supervision.

The role emphasizes cell-based assay development, independent troubleshooting, and collaboration across teams. Prior hands-on mammalian culture and molecular biology experience are required, with strong data analysis and technical reporting skills.

Qualifications

Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant scientific experience or Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
Experience in aseptic mammalian tissue/cell culture techniques.
Hands-on experience with RT-PCR, Western blot, ELISA, and Transfection.
Ability to design, execute, troubleshoot, and interpret experiments independently.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
Proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Initiate and complete routine in vitro studies independently and efficiently.
Interpret experimental results, identify follow-up studies, and troubleshoot challenges.
Design and execute cell-based and biochemical assays based on literature and published protocols.
Perform literature searches and stay current with relevant scientific developments.
Independently operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
Communicate and defend experimental findings through written and verbal presentations.
Maintain accurate electronic lab notebooks and data integrity.
