Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in Seattle is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead formulation and drug product development for LVV, AAV, mRNA, and LNP systems.

You will focus on biophysical stability across liquid, frozen, and lyophilized presentations, driving freeze/thaw, cryopreservation, and lyophilization cycles, while partnering with process development, analytical, and manufacturing teams to advance candidates toward clinic and beyond.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated biophysical stability expertise for biologics/advanced modalities.
• Hands-on experience with freeze/thaw and frozen-state stability.
• Working with DSC/mDSC and DLS for stability analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation and drug product development studies for LVV, AAV, mRNA, and LNP products across liquid, frozen, and lyophilized presentations.
• Lead freeze/thaw and cryopreservation studies and lyophilization cycle development; characterize stability parameters and their impact on product attributes.
• Apply biophysical/colloidal characterization to guide formulation decisions and stability understanding.
• Develop and justify excipient, buffer, cryoprotectant, and surfactant systems from first principles.
• Support development lab stability studies to inform shelf-life and storage claims.
• Maintain accurate documentation and present data to project teams.
• Support technology transfer, process scale-up, and GMP fill/finish activities with internal SMEs.
• Develop external collaborations with CMOs/CROs for advanced-modality materials.
• Author technical reports and regulatory documentation with awareness of global regulations.
