Job summary

Lundbeck Seattle BioPharmaceuticals in Bothell, WA, seeks a highly experienced Senior Scientist to join the Formulation Development team. You will serve as SME for formulation development, leading robust biologic drug product formulation efforts from early development through commercialization.

The role requires deep expertise in protein stability, formulation optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with Analytical Development, Regulatory, and CMOs to support IND through BLA submissions.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. with 5+ years of relevant biopharmaceutical experience.
• Strong understanding of protein structure, stability, aggregation mechanisms, and degradation pathways.
• Experience designing and executing high-throughput formulation screening using DOE.
• Hands-on experience with analytical characterization techniques including SEC-HPLC, IEX-HPLC, DLS, MFI or HIAC.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage laboratory studies and document results.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust biologic formulations (liquid and lyophilized when appropriate).
• Design, execute, and interpret DOE formulation studies.
• Evaluate protein stability and degradation pathways with analytical methods.
• Collaborate with internal teams and CMOs to support formulation development and tech transfer.
• Author and review formulation development reports and regulatory documents.
• Present data and project updates to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Work with upstream/downstream/QA/regulatory to advance projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows with new technologies.
