Job summary

Braun Intertec is seeking a Senior Scientist in Bloomington, MN to lead environmental investigation and remediation projects, including brownfield redevelopment, from concept through construction.

You will mentor teams, manage scope, budget, and schedule while building client relationships and ensuring regulatory compliance. A BS in a related field with licensure or eligibility and 10–20+ years of experience are expected, with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Professional licensure (PG, PE, CHMM) or eligibility within 12 months.
• 10+ to 20+ years of environmental project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations; Minnesota experience preferred.
• Leadership and mentoring experience.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage brownfield redevelopment projects from concept to construction completion.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding needs and developing practical solutions.
• Oversee scope, budget, schedule, risk, and profitability of projects.
• Mentor staff and develop future technical and project leaders.
• Provide technical leadership on Phase I/II ESAs, soil and groundwater investigations, and remediation planning.
• Travel up to ~20% locally and regionally.
