Job summary

Braun Intertec seeks a Staff Scientist/Engineer in Bloomington, MN. The role involves field oversight, data logging, sampling, and remediation reporting, with travel to local sites.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, geology, or environmental studies and 0–1 year of environmental consulting experience. OSHA HAZWOPER preferred; strong data analysis and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental studies; or related degree.
• 0 to 1 years of experience in environmental consulting industry.
• Must frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally more than 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and willingness to use personal vehicle on projects.
• OSHA HAZWOPER preferred.
• Experience with field data collection and remediation oversight preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Environmental Site Assessments and sampling.
• Screen soil and groundwater for environmental impacts.
• Oversee remediation efforts and coordinate monitoring and testing.
• Demonstrate understanding of construction-related activities and safe-work practices.
• Document test results and reviews test data for accuracy.
• Assist with data collection and report preparation.
• Work with project manager and client to meet objectives.
• Travel to local and regional project sites.
• Assist senior staff with regulatory matters.
• Assist regional staff to manage workload.
