Serif Biomedicines in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Senior Scientist I in Bioanalytical Sciences (Innate Immunity, LBA & Flow Cytometry) to lead hands-on development of immunogenicity assays for nucleic acid therapies.

You will mentor junior scientists, design in vitro and in vivo assays, collaborate with CMC and biology teams, and ensure regulatory-compliant validation of bioanalytical methods while delivering high-quality data for program decisions.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in immunology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, cell biology or related field with 5+ years of industry experience.
• Expertise in innate immune signaling and nucleic acid sensing pathways for DNA and mRNA.
• Proficiency in multicolor flow cytometry, ddPCR, ligand binding assays, leukopak processing and isolation of PBMCs.
• Experience with LNPs and nucleic acid modalities preferred.
• Experience developing bioanalytical methods to measure drugs and biomarkers for LNP delivery of nucleic acid cargoes.
• Experience managing junior scientists.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, strategic thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsabilités

• Design, optimize and execute cell-based immunoassays and LBAs to assess immunogenicity of LNP-delivered nucleic acid cargoes in vitro and in vivo.
• Lead in vitro screening assays for various nucleic acid modalities and establish criteria for cargo release for pre-clinical work.
• Collaborate with CMC, molecular biology and cell biology teams to screen nucleic acid cargoes and ensure timely data delivery.
• Ensure development, qualification, and validation of bioanalytical assays in compliance with guidelines.
• Design, optimize, and execute biodistribution studies (flow cytometry and histology) for LNP/nucleic acid therapies.
• Design, establish and execute assays for in vivo immunogenicity predictors including biomarkers, cytokines, ADA in rodents and NHPs.
• Design, develop, optimize, and execute bioanalytical assays for PK, PD, biomarker and immunogenicity endpoints.
• Execute test procedures and data interpretation using Flow Cytometry, ELISA, MSD, Luminex, ddPCR.
• Maintain timely documentation in electronic lab notebooks per guidelines.
• Present data to project teams and stakeholders; mentor junior scientists.
