Job summary

Genentech in South San Francisco invites a Scientist to join the Animal Genetic Technologies lab. You will develop and apply genome editing in vivo, combining CRISPR with mouse genetics to identify disease modifiers and validate new targets for therapy.

PhD in genetics or molecular biology plus postdoctoral experience, hands-on mouse work, strong molecular biology skills, and experience with CRISPR, NGS, and imaging are essential. Relocation benefits offered.

Qualifications

• PhD in genetics or molecular biology with relevant postdoctoral experience.
• Hands-on mouse work with a published track record.
• Solid molecular biology skills and publication record in model organism genetics.
• Experience with CRISPR, NGS (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, scRNA-Seq), and imaging techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply genome editing in vivo using CRISPR in mouse models.
• Combine genome editing with mouse genetics to identify disease modifiers.
• Validate new therapeutic targets using genome engineering approaches.
• Collaborate across Genentech teams in a fast-paced research environment.
