Job summary

Virginia Beach City Public Schools is seeking an experienced custodian supervisor to oversee cleaning and maintenance of school buildings, grounds and furnishings. You will supervise staff, coordinate work orders, and ensure safety and cleanliness across interiors and common areas.

The role includes supporting event setups, receiving deliveries, and working with school groups to keep facilities secure and well maintained. A GED or higher and substantial custodial experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Considerable custodial experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise custodial staff and assign duties; ensure cleaning of interiors and grounds.
• Maintain school interiors, carpets, restrooms, classrooms, cafeterias, and common areas.
• Ensure doors are locked and premises are secure; monitor vandalism and safety.
