Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking a Senior Engineer - Scheduling & Blending Models in Houston, TX to lead refinery scheduling and blending tool development. You will drive model accuracy, data integration, and best practices across sites, partnering with IT and vendors to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities include leading the scheduling/blending models group, mentoring teams, and promoting a strategic vision for blending recipe models.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years of direct experience with Scheduling and Blend Recipe modeling.
• 3+ years of refining business experience in economics, operations, process engineering, or fuels blending/scheduling.
• Proficiency with AspenTech APS Scheduling or MBO Blending Recipe software systems (desktop, interfaces, databases).
• SQL/Access database knowledge/experience.
• Periodic travel to regional sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level services to refinery sites for scheduling and blending models.
• Maintain and validate model yields, properties, costs, constraints.
• Troubleshoot and resolve model errors and issues.
• Lead the Scheduling or Blending Models Users Group.
• Share best practices and industry insights across the system.
• Act as liaison to planning, scheduling, and blend recipe communities.
• Support IT and vendors on data interfaces, licensing, upgrades, and integration.
• Benchmark model accuracy and site capabilities to drive improvements.
