Job summary

ChristianaCare Health System in the United States seeks a Scheduler III to provide advanced scheduling and patient access support within the Access Center. You will serve as a subject matter expert handling high-volume calls, coordinating imaging, labs, and outpatient services, and documenting encounters in Epic.

The role emphasizes real-time workflow guidance, process improvements, onboarding of new staff, and adherence to HIPAA and regulatory requirements while delivering timely, quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare scheduling, patient access, call center, or medical office setting required.
• Demonstrated experience handling complex scheduling scenarios and workflow coordination preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records (e.g., Epic) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced scheduling and registration across imaging, laboratory, and outpatient services.
• Serves as primary escalation point for complex scheduling issues and patient concerns.
• Manages real-time call flow and supports high-volume queues with adherence to service levels.
• Documents and manages patient encounters in Epic.
• Provides real-time guidance to team members on scheduling workflows and best practices.
