Job summary

Sentara Health Plans seeks a Senior EPIC Scheduling Optimization Specialist to design, optimize, and maintain Epic scheduling templates across ambulatory services. You will lead projects, analyze provider data, and collaborate with operational leaders to improve access and capacity utilization.

The role requires deep Epic Cadence knowledge, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to translate operational needs into sustainable scheduling solutions. Certification within 1 year is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required and Epic Cadence Certification within 1 year of hire.
Proven Epic scheduling build experience: templates, visit types, modifiers, and decision trees.
Strong ambulatory scheduling knowledge and data analysis skills.
Ability to train users and develop supporting documentation.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain Epic scheduling templates, visit types, modifiers, and decision trees.
Provide day-to-day support for scheduling configuration requests across departments.
Collaborate with leaders to align scheduling strategies and resolve issues.
Lead projects including provider onboarding/offboarding and workflow automation.
Create training sessions and tip sheets for end users.
